Other Information

This camera was introduced in July of 2003. This is one of the lower priced game camera models in the market. 24 foot camera flash range isn't very good for night pics. The date stamp of time or date but not both will leave you guessing when the animal was there. 3 weeks battery life can be short if you leave your cam out for long periods.

My wife got me one of these units for fathers day. Mixed review tho. I wasted 2 two rolls of film, because the camera will not advance the film. The serated, notched rotater thing would not work, but the spindle would turn. I had to push a little manual button, that would advance the film. Then I would wait to activate it by hand to make shure it was taking a picture to hear it advance. Got to be a pain in the a$$. I did get one roll through and got the picture's back yesterday. The picture quality I thought was excellant. Three pictures had nothing, a couple pictures were only half of a deer, walking passed the camera(must have been a delay) and one or two only had part of the time, inprinted. I tried a fourth roll, but could never get the film to advance. So I have taken it down and is going back to Dick's($69). The manual, electric film advance button does not work now. I'm not sure if I'm going to get another of the same model or get something different. By the way, here in our part of Ohio we have had about 15 inches of rain in weeks and 60 mph winds, to wit the inside of the unit was BONE DRY. If there wasn't any film advance problems, I would still be very pleased with. Hope this helps.

I have purchased three types of cameras, Moultree Game Cam II, the Game Country Night Hawk, and the Stealth Cam MC2-G. The Moultrie took good pictures for about a month, until the camera was ruined due to moister and insects getting into the camera. The Game Country is in no way sealed and allot of my pictures are not clear because of moister build up on the lends, but the camera is still working, (two months). The Stealth camera, I believe is the best buy if you are looking for something cheap and some what dependable. I read some of the reviews on your web page about the Stealth camera but I have not experienced any of the problems, but I have only taken on roll of pictures. The camera seems to be sealed very well, it survived very hard rains in south Georgia and no moister of water in the camera and no pictures of lightning. I have also sent a picture of a buck that was captured with the Stealth Camera feeding. I feel it is a good buy for the money. Also I was advised that Wal-Mart is removing the Moultrie Game Cam II from their shelves due to unreliability, at least in Orange Park, Fl. - Michael.

Bought the Stealth Cam model MC2-G about two months ago. Have had great success with it in the heat of southwest Louisiana. It took a little time to get the camera mounted correctly, it helps if you follow the directions. Wish that it would give date and time stamp but I am able to check it daily (it is in my front yard). I had tried the low end Moultrie cam but both of them leaked so bad that there was a puddle of water in the box and the battery was starting to rust. - Robert.

The camera took a couple of nice pictures the first time I put it out but after I moved it the nightmare began. I baited an area and had massive animal sign and showed seven pictures on the LED. Well I took them for development and the roll was blank. Thinking I may have not closed the cover properly I tried it again but made sure everything was perfect. Well its my second roll of film blank. It takes me 2 hours of driving to get to my land and it’s a major hike into the thicket. The second time it shown 7 pictures also very odd. I should have known not to buy the cheapest thing on the market. I am going to try the Leaf River next, it used the Canon Owl not some integrated camera. I would stay away from integrated camera units like the plague. I think the tractor feed may be broken or just such a poor design that it won’t advance the film. Instead of a tooth for every notch in the film it picks it up about every 4th or 5th notch. Buying this camera will be a gamble at best. If you have more time than money this is the camera for you. - key0868.

I recently bought a Stealth Cam MC2-G.I am very pleased with it.I have finished 4 rolls of film on the same 8 AA batteries and they are still working. Very few pics of nothing, maybe 8 out of almost 100. Only complaint is that there is no way to lock it to a tree with a cable or chain. I made a meatal box for mine and it works great that way. For $89 I would definitely buy another.- Dave.

I have had my MC2 G since May 2003 the first roll was great good day and night pics lot of does and some nice bucks and a few coons. The 2nd roll had some trouble with night pics so I replaced the battery with a name brand problem solved its worked great ever since. I have found out that if you set it up in the mid AM or the early to late afternoon the test mode works the best. I use the time stamp because if you can target the repeat times you dont know the day they show but you know the time to be looking for them to show up and to me thats better than nothing. PS, Ithink they do a great job and for the price. I picked up another MC2 G so far so good. - GH from NC
