Arch was kind enough to post the picture of my deer I killed and a picture of a deer we got right here not far from my house.
He was seen once before hunting season and that was it.  He is still alive and running around.  Season is not over yet so who knows.

As some might say, "That's a goodin'!"

As I would say, "That a goodin' that I would love to meet on a nice crisp November morning some day."

And we have something in common. Both of our tongues are hanging out!

Good job on both deer and don't loose that spot if it's producing bucks of that caliber.

THOSE ARE TWO REALLY NICE BUCKS.  I USED TO LIVE IN TEXARKANA AND WORK AT ST MICHAEL'S.  DO YOU HUNT IN ARKANSAS OR TEXAS.  THE POND CREEK NWR HAS MANY DEER OF THAT CALIBER.  I KNOW, I MISSED ONE LAST WEEKEND.  I AM IN FACT HEADED TO TEXARKANA TOMORROW FOR MY NEPHEWS BDAY.  THAT TOWN HAS REALLY GROWN SINCE I LEFT IN '97.

Simplearkansas,

Both of these bucks are from the Texas side but I do hunt Pond Creek NWM and you are right there are some big ones there too.  I live in Texarkana.  When I got married in Feb. my mom and dad gave me my lifetime license in Texas as a wedding gift.  That is the gift that keeps on giving each year.  We bought a house on the Arkansas side close to work and now all I have to buy is an Arkansas resident license.  Talk about save me some money.

Thanks to everyone for the comments.  I appreciate it.

WOW!! I remember some of the awsome pics that you were posting earlier. Was the buck that you harvested one of the bucks that you posted earlier in the year? Congats on the trophy, and good luck bagging the other monster buck!
