My girlfriend and I went hunting with Tom Willoughby. We split up but both ended up shooting at nearly the same time. One sow and one boar. Field dressing was done in one blink of an eye. This was my 4th hunt but first pig and her 2nd hunt and 2nd pig. 20180218_073020.jpg View attachment 90639

Nice stuff. That's way cool to get field time with your girl. How many days did y'all hunt? Did it take long to find the game? Congrats on the hogs. BBQ time.

We only booked a 1 day hunt and we were tagged out by about 7:15. Saw a group of about 20 to 25 hogs a few hills away and then waiting for that group, another group got kicked up out of cover. Part of the group stayed on top / over the hill and some came down to the bottom. Biggest two hogs out of the group will soon be called sausage, ham, and pork chops. Sow was estimate around 200 lbs and the boar around 140-150 lbs.

After hunting three other times (all guided) in three different areas and only seeing one pig (that she shot) I decided to follow recommendations on here and hunted with Willoughby. Long drive and quick hunt but we had a blast and it was definitely worth it.

Tom is pigs, all about the pigs and nothing but the pigs. Not a conversationlist at all....but the fastest gut job I've ever seen. 33 seconds with a pen knife. You want a pig, go to Tom.

Congrats on the pigs! I shot my first hog with Tom back in 2014 and it ended in about 30 mins as well. If you don't mind me asking, what is Tom charging these days?

Tom's current rate is $750 per person. I paid almost double that in total between my previous pig hunting attempts. Things were a little quiet while hunting but we all did quite a bit of talking while loading the pigs up and while they field dressed them. Hunting isn't always the best time to startup a conversation anyways. They are a great group of guys and I wouldn't hesitate to go back even with it being about a 6 hour drive each way.

He did say the person that hunted the day before (Saturday) didn't tag out until around 11:30.
