The Turner's Outdoorsman-California Hog Hunter series of non-guided hunts on the Tejon Ranch have been announced. According to Turner's, the 2002 hunts were booked by the end of March. Dates for 2003 hunts are as follows:
February 14-16, 2003 HOG HUNT (10 hunters, two nights in lodge)
March 21-23, 2003 HOG HUNT (10 hunters, two nights in lodge)
May 2-4, 2003 HOG HUNT (10 hunters, two nights in lodge)
May 16-18, 2003 HOG HUNT (10 hunters, two nights in lodge)
June 20-22, 2003 HOG HUNT (10 hunters, two nights in lodge)
July 18-20, 2003 HOG HUNT (10 hunters, two nights in lodge)
The price is the same as last year -- $510 per hunter, which includes lodging and all food during the hunt, ranch permits, and a mandatory $10 insurance policy. Addition hogs may again be taken for $200 each.
They're creating a verbal reservation list for each hunt date along with waiting lists. After the first of the year, hunters with reservations will be asked to send checks to confirm their reservations. Interested hunters should call 909-475-1133 to reserve slots for a hunt date or to get their names at the top of the waiting lists for any date.
