Hey all,
Here are a few sheds I've found so far this year:

First time out sheds:

First shed of the next day as it lays:

Matching set of 4x4 sheds as they lay:

Big fresh 6 pt elk shed as it lays:

The above elk shed was so fresh it still had blood on the bases:

And here is Sundays sheds, a 3pt a 6pt and a freak elk shed thats the match to the 6pt shed above.

And here is the matched set together, the freak shed broke off in velvet and it continued to grow a little before it shedded its velvet. I was kinda mad that the match was like that, i was imaging a big 6x6 elk but I guess I can't complain.

Hope you enjoyed the pics,

Wish we knew where we could find them in our part of the country...but eventually we'll figure it out. That 4 by muley set are very nice, too. Too much fun...happy shedding! Robin

Thanks all for the comments!

Ohio,

That pic of the 5pt elk shed in the open is decieving, usually they are in some brush but i got lucky on that one. But it is fairly open. I like to get to the top of ridges and glass for them, usually i only find a point or two sticking up, never the whole antler.

rphornhunter,

I usually scout out elk and deer all winter long and really start to focus right about the first week in Feb. Where you see them that time of year is where there will be deer sheds, usually the elk will not drop till mid march so you gotta watch them longer. It gets kinda expensive with gas and all, but its worth it!

fossilman,

If you want some of the pics i can send you the high resolution pics, just email me with details on which ones you want. Click below to see my whole album.

I'll post more photo's soon and good luck everyone!
