Have to give serious thought about applying for AZ since they want the money upfront again. For myself and 2 kids, I will need a second on the house. Sheep is out of the question.

Not many Persons, know what the 2005 tag increases are for Non -Res hunters will be,but be assured it will go up
<
Look for the increase to go along with states like Utah,New Mex and Wyoming,Probally around $6-700.00 for Elk tags.Nevada has set the bar at $1200.00,for the last few years, lets hope not in Az.

What is known for Az is,No on-line apps.A hunt license will be purchased,up front and in full. All hunt tag Fees will be sent in full with apps.

These last few, will weed out MANY non-res applicants for Az in 2005

Hello Guys.

Kust a quick note. Please go to the AZ. web site and give your input. They will listen.

I finished a hunters safety class in AZ. this last sat.

Input might help with the setting of the fee's. So please go the the arizona game and fish site and let your opinion be known.

I will do the same.

I was told that the exact prices are not set yet!!!!!

I talked to a buddy that went to the same class in AZ. He said that they said there is some resistance from the legislature to gouge nonresidents as bad as they want to. Plus, it may not get through the legislature before this year's draw in time. Weeding nonresidents like you out is what they were going for, Subfan. The main idea of raising prices to those proposed levels is to "Preserve resident opportunity."

I e-mailed them expressing my concern that the family guys will not be able to partake in the hunts and the USO whores will benefit.

I also e-mailed them with the same idea.

Tell all that you know to do the same.

Well, for whatever it's worth, Wyo sure experienced a major decrease in demand when they set their expensive tags for elk up in the nearly $900/tag range....much better odds than previous years.

Of course $800/tag is starting to push what it costs to get into decent landowner tags in NM. So, the price increase madness will have to level out at somepoint not that far from 800 or 1000 or the demand simply won't be there....gotta luv the free economy....of course when states start getting sued over the two-tiered pricing structure, I'll feel just has been served....gotta luv America!
