Hey all,
Been enjoying the elk pics and congrats to PaulC's kids, the BOHNTR crew and everyone else! The pics helped me get through the long weeks of working during hunting season!

Anyways, here is my 2005 OTC public land elk. Not the biggest I saw but nice meat for the freezer. Also thanks to my buddy Adam for helping me pack him out 3 miles. This is my 4th elk and I think im finally ready to start holding out for the big one next year :).

Congratulations Younghunter!

He may not be a giant but as you so correctly stated "it's meat in the freezer"

…………and, I don't think any one will care how big it was while biting into one of them fine Elk Steaks either.

I'll be helping my buddy who drew a late season Nevada tag for mid November. I can only hope we are lucky enough to post a succesful pic when it's all said and done as well.

Tag those good meat elk, and save the big, tough ones for those awesome photos you're always posting!

Nice bull man. Congrats. Hey, how come you're always wearing street clothes and shoes in your kill shots? Did you really hike in those 3 miles in them shoes? Regardless, you did good!

Thanks all for the comments!

SDhunter,
I feel most comfortable in my "street" clothes. I espically like adidas shoes. I backpacked through the whole windriver mts with adidas shoes.

The only time I wear boots or other clothes is if the weather is different.

I have my hunt on video so maybe i'll post it up soon....
