OK fellas, here it is! Just got off the phone with Barbara and locked us in on the calendar.

First Annual JHO Tejon Archery-Only Hunt - February 9-11.
Cost - $400/hunter
Cap. - 12 hunters

Cost includes:
1 hog per hunter.
Lodging in the "Farmhouse"
All meals cooked and served
Tejon ranch "representative" onsite at the lodge for tips and info (This is NOT a guided hunt, but some information will be available to those who ask.)

Fourth Annual JHO Pig O Rama - May 24-26
Cost - $400/hunter
Cap. - 50 hunters

Cost includes:
1 hog per hunter
Camping on the "South Side" campground
Stories around the campfire

I have also reserved a tentative date for a second JHO Archery-Only hunt on June 1-3. Pending interest (we need at least 8 hunters to keep this date), I will lock it in with Barbara. Details are the same as the February hunt.

Application packets will be available in the fall, and as always, this will be first come (paid), first served.

I'll be receiving the Application packets, probably in September (if last couple years are any indication). When I do, I'll post up and request basic mailing information from you guys. The packets will go out, and when they come back, filled out properly and with a check enclosed, you're in.

This'll work just like the annual JHO rifle hunts.

If my check comes taped to the back of a bottle of Patron Silver, do I get in no matter what?

Heh heh... I dunno about the Silver. But if it's on a bottle of Reposado you're in. If it's on a bottle of Anejo... I'll sleep on the floor and you can have my bunk.

Youngblood... I'm not starting a list yet. When the apps come in, I'll let ya'll know. At that time, you can send me the mailing info and I'll get them to you.

But please don't send your mailing info right now. I am not storing it, and you'll just have to send it again when the packets are ready.

Did you get a skid plate put on that Grand Prix yet, AS? There's some sharp rocks down there.

That's a big 10-4...she just got a .000598 lift from the new tires & a stainless skid plate from a small incident at choppers. Those 2" rocks are tough.

How many acres is the Archery area?

I haven't hunted that area myself, so I'm not sure on the acreage. OneTrack or Bearclaw? You guys have the answer on that one?

Keep yer radio on... I could be calling for a tow.

I believe it is 55,000AC, pretty small, so I would imagine it too small an area for anyone to really want to hunt, 12 people will be on top of each other, but I will of course take one for the team and try to hunt again under such penned circumstances.

It's a smaller area for road hunters. But, for Jesse's hardcore huntin' machines, it's plenty big enough for 20 or so. With 12 hunters, each can take about 4,500 acres. I'd imagine there is one hog per acre. So, chances are good that everybody will see a hog or two.

You all need a string and stick noobie to make fun of, so I'll step on up to take the abuse.

I'm hoping I'll pop my big game cherry before then, but either way I'll definitely be there for the rifle hunt.
