Halletsville is just a couple hours away, I might try to make it and see what its all about. Anyone else going to be there? If so send me an email and maybe we can meet up.

The first annual 2007 Wild Boar Hunting Expo has been scheduled for February 3 & 4, 2007 (Sat & Sun) in Hallettsville, Texas. It will be held in the new 80,000 square foot expo center (William Baber Complex) that is just being completed. We are just now begining to mail out applications for booth reservations. Booths will consist of anything and everything "Wild Boar." There are already ranches, feeder manufacturers, trap builders, hunting dog kennels,and wild boar artwork dealers interested in booth space.

Booth Cost is as follows:
10'X20' = $185.00
20'X20' = $360.00

Admission will be free with the donation of a non-perishable canned food item at the door. (which will be donated to the local food bank) Once you enter the show you will be able to enter your name in a drawing for multiple prizes to be given away as door prizes at the end of the show.

Show hours are as follows:
Saturday February 3, 2007 = 9am-9pm
Sunday February 4, 2007 = 9am-5pm

Booth set-up time will be on Friday from 6am-midnight
A non-denominational Christian church service will be held Sunday morning at 8am for all who want to attend.
Guest speakers will put on seminars throughout the show in a designated area. At least one of Brutal Boar Creations trophy brood boars will be on display for spectators to see up close and personal.

I will update this post between now and the show to let ya'll know about guest speakers scheduled, prizes available to be won, and booths you won't want to miss!

Mark your calendars now and dont miss it!
Hallettsville is located half-way between Houston and San Antonio, 15 miles south of I-10 on HWY 77.
Any questions or comments or to book a booth call Cody Weiser at (361) 772-8023.[/b]

I'd love to add this one to my annual "must-see" shows. Can't do it this year, though, as this is the first I've heard about it.

Hope you can get there, get some photos and see what's going on.

This is the first Wildboar Expo.
I talked to Cody Weiser, who is organizing it, last night. It sounds like several exhibitors will be there. Hog Lights, Trap Designers, Scents, Dogs, Taxidermists, Ranches/Outfitters, and others. He is going to send me a list of exhibitors.

Hey Speck, I still have your 2 Hog Bomb freebies from the SHOT Show in Orlando. Email me your snail address and I'll send them to you.

Hmm... how in the world did I forget about those hog bombs?

Email on the way...

Enjoy the show. Hopefully things are gonna shake out to where I can make it to more of that kind of event in the near future.

If this is really going to be a "big deal" then I'd like to go... I currently have a credit with southwest airlines.

On the map it looks like flying in to Houston is just as good as San Antonio. I can fly in to houston fri night and leave Sun night for under $300.

Anyone else thinking of going?

I'll talk to the wife at lunch and see if she has a problem with it. If she's ok, I'm in.

Orso,

Thanks for posting that. You made me realize I have a free plane ticket that expires at the end of Feb. I will check on it tonight and go from there.

Anyone else from Cali going or wants to go?

I spoke with the guy listed above, I believe he said there will be about 30 booths/vendors...

The wife said OK.. Now I just wonder if it will be "big enough" to throw down $300 in airfare, plus car rental, hotel and food.... Hhhhhmmm.
