Not my bird but I had a friend down from North Carolina over the past few days and he got this one.

Two nice mature gobblers down today between my buddy and me in the CA opener! 19 and 22 pounds. The birds are fat - they are having lots of acorns. Already had the gizzards for lunch!

Here's Our Opening Day Bird! My dad shot it with his crossbow, it flew off with the arrow stuck in it. We found it 4 hours later, and I finished it off with an arrow from my compound. Crazy Morning! These birds are tough!

Beard about 9"-10" we forgot to measure it before it went to the freezer.
