2019 CA fall turkey hunting seasom

California's fall wild turkey season opens Saturday, Nov. 9, offering hunters an opportunity to provide a wild turkey for Thanksgiving dinner. Unlike the spring season, both males and females can be taken with a daily limit of one bird and a season limit of two birds.

For the first time, turkey hunting will be allowed at the Sutter, Sacramento, Delevan and Colusa National Wildlife Refuges in the Sacramento Valley. Turkey hunting will be permitted in the waterfowl free roam and pheasant hunting areas at the refuges during their normal Saturday, Sunday and Wednesday waterfowl shoot days during turkey season, which runs through Sunday, Dec. 8. More opportunities than ever for fall turkey hunters.
