Finally have some before and after examples from cleaning the CMOS sensor on my 20D. These are low res, and so only the major dust clumps will be visible, but when you view it at 100%, others become very obvious. I still have one major blob on the sensor now. It doesnt hurt my feeling to photoshop it out right now. but if I get bored, I may try to clean that last piece off.


here are the pics, I circled the obvious ones. I can load up hi-res if anyone wants to see them

What's the best way to check on the sensor dust. Take a picture of a white background or a different color?

Take a picture of the blue sky like lan-lord has in his second pic. If there is dust on the sensor it will show up....

Also put the camera in aperature priority @ f/22ish
