it was a hunt on the west coast with 4 of us hunting. we had 2 good days before the rain [ 700 mm in 5 days ] and gail force winds showed up.
even with only 2 days we still did well with 3 nice bulls taken 1 12" bull at about 200 yrds with a 300 win 1 13 3/4" bull at 440 yrds using a 260 loaded with 120gr TTSX and 1 11 3/4" taken at 472 yrds with a 25x47 loaded with 80gr TTSX . here are a cpl more pix

How the heck did you get to him?

Looked like he fell into what would be one heck of a predicament to try and go after him?

Did a couple of you have to lower another man down to him on rope?

If nothing else he was very tenderized by the time he got to the bottom. Did you harvest the meat?
looks like the head and Cape? Beard? would make mighty fine mounts, but you all had the skulls only?

this was a non guided hunt it was an all do it yourself hunt. the area in a DOC tahr ballot area that has very limited hunting and a chopper can only fly us in if we drew a ballet for this area and only for a 7 day hunt. the chopper dropped us off in the spot that DOC says they can drop us. we did get to him with a bit of rope and did get the head skin and head and horns out just fine. the is good eating but can not bring any back to the usa so only ate what we could in camp.
