4 days later another hog down.

Went up for an evening hunt today with one of my son's friends. We hiked around a while and sat on a couple ridges the hogs use a lot. At about 8:20 we decide to call it a night and head back to the trucks.
We get just about 300 yards and hear a hog coming down the hill. Now even though I've never gotten a hog with either my compound or my crossbow. I let the young man take the lead do he could hopefully get his first hog.
Well Mr. Boar drops onto the road about 25 yards from us perfectly broadside, and he introduced him to his 30/30.

Ya Nick. That's was the best chance I've ever had to get one with the bow, but passed to let the young man get his first. Glad I did. Always have to remind myself I can go whenever.
Brad I finally made it to the doctors today. They put me on light duty. No lifting over my shoulder or lifting anything over 10 lbs.

Thank you KTKT70. Lucky for me both hunters are giving me half the meat. This wasn't asked of them. Hell the shot the hogs and used their tags. But since the insist I'll be eating good.

That is only right to do but sad you also don't hear much of guys giving away meat. I know that I would share any thing I shoot with not only land owner but my hunt buddy's also. I want to get more into this hobby to make friends and learn a new way of life. No point in trying to do it alone or keeping every thing to myself.

Again congrats to you and keep up the good work. It's cool to see there are a few good guys still out there.
