550 cord enough to hang?

If I plan to hang, skin and debone in the field, is 550 cord strong enough? Or should I look for something more stout? How much should I look for and what breaking strength?

This will be for deer and pig.

It's perfect. We use it for elk quarters deer and pigs.

Its called 550 cord because it is rated up to 550 lbs. If you are worried then simply double it up.
