Turkey season is hours away can’t wait. Hope to let my 6 year old call in one tomorrow I know chances are slim but there is a chance. Good luck everyone tomorrow hope to see some post about turkeys tomorrow afternoon.

Had toms reacting to my calls but they were with hen's and I couldn't pull them away. They put on a good show for about an hour unfortunately they were 60-70 yards away. Back at it tomorrow.

Same but we only had hens no toms. Great action for my son he loved it but asked why I couldn’t get a turkey that hurt a little not going to lie. Back at it manana ps if there are two hens roosted toms should be somewhere near by right?

Saw one on a private boundary and walked up to about 20 yards but couldn't get a clear shot due to brush and a house being behind the bird. He walked up maybe 100 yards away behind some trees next to the house and refused to move. Spent probably close to an hour trying to pull him off away from the person's house. Just as it turned back towards us and got in range someone on private to our right began calling and that bird went straight for them. Hurts a little but gotta give credit where credit is due if your calling is that good to pull that bird like that then you deserve it more than me. Overall pretty good opening day but back at it on tuesday.

Day 2 no turkey... I always wish I was a better hunter but never more so than with my son. He said “daddy can we get Steve renella or cal to hunt with us. Kinda funny kinda sad.
