I don't post many pictures, and I know most of you aren't big on hog doggin....but I figured you guys might want to see a really big hog. He was a barr hog which is why he's so big. Usually no nuts means the teeth are not very pretty but this guy's were nice. This dude was a chunk.

Wow, that's huge.

What's the weight?

Thanks for sharing.

Nothing wrong for using dogs. I wish I have them for spotting when in public land hunt for hogs.

High Five!!! Very cool. That's a true monster. If you don't have it mounted, at least get a euro mount or a bronze mount.

I used to think using dogs was wrong. Then, I grew up. Huntin' is huntin'. To see your dogs work is probably more satifying then watching your kids hit doubles.

Awesome pig, congrats

I also have no problem with dogs. I shot my first hog over dogs in April. It was fun. May or may not do it again, but I won't specifically seek it out, I prefer spot and stalk. I can see the draw for you though, they are your dogs and you trained them, that has to be more enjoyable than just going out with someone and having no connection to the dogs themselves.

He wouldn't have made a good mount for anyone. He had very little hair from being old and summertime. The skull went to a friend that wanted one.

That's the difference. Guys usually still like the experience but it's different when they are yours.

I don't know what it weighed but it was alot. It was a good 300 lbs or so and had a solid 3-1/2 inches. I usually don't care about the weight. I'm a tusk man myself. 150 lbs. with 4 inches suits me just fine.

Here's a pic of a hog from a few months ago. He was the biggest of the year....tooth wise. A solid 4-1/2" and 4-1/8" with 4 inch uppers. Nothing broke. He was a grandpa.

Thanks for the comments

Great job looks like nice flat country.
I love chasing pigs with dogs. Especially when they get all fired up.......sometimes they are more excited than you.

A buddy of mine just picked up a pup can't wait.

That's definitely a whopper chopper, Bayed! Nice work.

The fella in the mud looks like he got it worse than the dog or the hog, though... filthy work, that.

Otherwise, if it's legal and you enjoy it, nobody else has room to knock it.
