I was down at a local saltwater slough today after work and spotted these fellas doing a little fishing.

Also this fella.

Both pics were with a Olympus C-740 at full zoom. I really need to get that 1.7x for those long shots. Time to set aside some money.

foulshot...what setting were you using? I use tiff on a long tele shot and then crop to make my picture....that is the highest resolution you can get with the 740....does take a lot of memory, 7 pics on a 62mg card, but well worth it. on normal shots I use the enlarged photo (3200x2400) setting.

When I save my money I also am going for the tele adapter.

Nice pictures...hard to get close the the Great Blue Heron.

Wildebeast, I didn't even think of going to the TIFF mode. I was in the HQ 2048x1536. I need to start remembering to try the different modes. I have a 256M card, so space shouldn't be an issue for a couple of pics.

There were some ducks out there too, but they were too far away. Hmmm, my birthday is a couple of weeks away, maybe I'll have that tele adaptor by the end of the month.
