Hey all,
Just thought I'd share a few pics from today. Hiked into one of my favorite spots and found a lot of matches to sheds I found last year. I found 12 elk sheds today in about 3 hours of walking. Heres a few pics.
5 pt by pond:
heres a 6pt that i have the match to. I knew this shed was somewhere in the thick brush but when it was brown last year i couldn't find it. I'm glad to finally re-unite it with its mate lol:
One of my friends and I walked within yards of this 6 pt a few times last spring. Grass is finally gone, I was surprised how much of it the elk ate this winter. There was elk sign everywhere:
Heres a pic of my daypack w/ the sheds I was holding onto:
While i was arranging the sheds on the pack i found this 5 pt:
And finally the ones i brought back to the truck, I left the raghorn 3pt 4pt's i found out there in the hills:
Heres a pic of a set of muley sheds my buddy and I found from the truck yesterday. We were waiting to go to a party and decided to take a quick drive. Glassed the set from about 600 yards while sitting in the truck. Ben if u read this that hat makes you look stupid
I'm up to exactly 80 sheds brought home this year. 53 elk and the rest deer. Its been a great year so far and I credit much of my success this spring to having better optics. I finally got some Swarovski bino's and they are awesome!!!! I'll post some more pics tomorrow.
