I had a thought, thought I would share.  Have not tried it yet...

I bought the Lansom (???) PIR, its been awhile and I can't keep track of what the brand was. Its the one that has the tele cord to a light socket from the detector itself.

I want to keep the light socket, so why not buy a light socket adapter, one that has the 110V female plug in it. Screw that into the light socket, use an old cord or buy a new plug, plug that into the adapter and wire the other end into the switch for stopping the trigger to the camera???? Seems a tad easier as far as work goes, and the adapter was $2.50 for two of them at the local hardware store.

Just a thought, may try it sometime soon.

I never did find the Lansom and now guess Lowe's don't carry it any longer but your idea sounds almost too simple ha ha,  good one
