I never got around to posting the story or the picture up here. Around christmas time me and nic barca went for an all day adventure on a mountain range in Anahola. We hiked over the mountain, through the woods all day and didn't see any pigs. Then about 1/2 mile from the bottom of the river we were coming down Nic said, "This looks like a good spot for pigs", no less than 2 minutes after he said that we heard some blow and take off up the hill. Nic ran ahead of me on the trail about 20 yards hoping to get a shot, I chambered a round and spotted a reddish boar running angling away from me up hill. I popped a shot and couldn't tell whether I hit the thing or not. We waited a few minutes then went to trail the pig to maybe get a follow up shot if it was wounded. We found the thing about 5 yards from where I shot it, dead as can be. Bullet went in near the back and bottom of the ribs and worked its way into the shoulder/neck area.
