My dad and I both drew A16, we are going to try to scout once or twice before season. Any advice for this area would be greatly appreciated. We have been putting in for this hunt for 6 years and are both excited that we get to hunt together. We have quads and will be doing a lot of hunting that way. Thanks

I suggest you do 2 things. 1). go scout as much as you can, much more than "once or twice". From that, you will figure out some camping spots, not where to hunt. 2). get off the "quads" and burn some boot leather.

Ya, I don't think my work schedule is going to allow me to go more than twice. Definitely plan on doing some walking, however, my dad can't do the hikes like we use to. So, if you have better advice than what you gave, I'm all ears.

What I provided you is the best possible advice you can get. With your work schedule limiting you ability to scout so much, your quality of hunt significantly decreases. So if I were in your shoes, I would not have my hopes up to much on filling tags. I would however, plan on spending some quality time with my father and simply enjoying being out there with him.

Otherwise, I am curious as to just what type of advice you are looking for????????

I was looking for good areas to hunt or suggestions. It's a larger area and only 30 tags issued, so maybe someone who has had some experience hunting that area.
