Yes I said August Snowcross....me and my dad went to a snowmobile show North of Greenville MI yesterday. I took a bunch of action shots and they turned out pretty well, these resized versions don't really do them justice.
wipeout!
The guy in the pic below made it look easy, I believe he won every race he was in
These guys below were insane. This is what they do for a living, they go from show to show with a fold-up ramp and do these insane tricks 40+ feet in the air at least. These are my favorites just because most have nothing for reference as to how high up they are, it appears they are flying. You can see these things done on TV, but to see it in person is an entirely different thing.
In the pic below, he did not stick the landing of this jump. There were 3 guys I believe on the team, this guy hit hard, went down and I didn't see him get back up. I think they carted him away in the ambulance.
This guy did the backflip twice
yes the last pic is right side up
Jimmy Blaze, (he's been on the TV show stunt junkies) from Yamaha was also at this show and was supposed to do some freestyle, which I assumed would include the snowmobile backflip....but he decided not to jump after working with a small skid loader for over 2 hours on his landing ramp. I was ticked.
