Maybe fewer acting classes and more science? Geology anyone? Can I get a witness here?

If you look at it from a Biblical perspective, nations that cursed God were levelled. AD: Government Of The Devil, By The Devil, And For The Devil - Tom Barrett - Mar 11, 04

"Haiti is the only country in the entire world that has dedicated its government to Satan. Demonic spirits have been consulted for political decisions, and have shaped the country's history." Thus speaks Reverend Doug Anderson, who grew up in Haiti with missionary parents, and served there along with his wife Dawn as a missionary until 1990. The leaders of Haiti make no attempt to hide their allegiance to Satan. Haiti's government is a government of the devil, by the devil, and for the devil.

Huh? How bout this biblical quote...Genesis 8:21 "I will never again curse the ground because of humankind".

It is hard to put a factual spin on an etheral concept like satanic demons taking over a country. If you can whittle demonic possession down to mean some sort of power intoxication or greed, that may be more palatible for the masses. To say God curses a country turns a lot of people off. If it is your belief, I do not mean to be negative at all towards it.

My God is not a vengeful God. Why would a God, who made me in his likeness, purposefully try to hurt me? I do however believe that he entitles me to free will, and by my own decisions I cause my own pain or gain.

If your beliefe works for you, I congratulate you. It is very hard to find true beliefs in today's society. If you are indeed correct, then I am quite sure that we are seeing the end game being played out.

When Glover was a spokeshole for a major phone company and started bashing Bush, I immediately changed carriers. I got the expected phone call about a week later, trying to woo me back. I told them why I switched, and that they were stupid to hire a spokesman that would alienate at least half of their customer base. About a week later I got a call from someone higher up the food chain, wanting to know more about how DG had caused me to switch. Within 3 months he was no longer their spokesperson. Seems I wasn't the only one who switched. They called me back, saying that he was no longer with them, and would I consider returning. I politely declined, but praised them for their firing of DG.
I did the same thing years earlier with another phone company re Whippie Goldberg when she got all political. One person can make change happen....

OK, that's just too ridiculous. Aside from whatever extremist propaganda you have read or heard from Pat Robertson on this one, By that logic alone you are implicating the wrath of God in EVERY natural disaster. Take it easy KF, It's called plate-tectonics, it's natural, happens all over the world and has nothing to do with demonic counseling. Having not built anything earthquake proof, not knowing to get out of a building instead of running into them, the Haitians were very ill prepared for this situation. Had they the experience with earthquakes that Californians do, the massive death toll would be greatly diminished. Saying that it is because they don't have the same religious beliefs as you makes you sound like a religious zealot. I am quite scared of your mentality to be honest with you. I try not to pick any fights here but I have to call you out on this BS. I think you need to reread the Bible that I am sure you have lost the message of.

IMHO, all actors are dysfunctional liars who are very adept at remembering lines on a page, yet have not a shread of common sense or ethics.
Riddle me this, name oneactor who has not displayed outageousor illegal behavior in public, not gotten arrested for rediculous or illegal behavior or actually done something meaningful for someone other than themselves?

I never understood why people care about actors in the first place, or what they think. Why does playing a character in a movie or TV show qualify one to have an opinion worthy of talking about. I think that if you put all the actors in a room and got to know them you find that they live in some type of fantasy world and really have nothing in common with real people. I am not a star F*cker and I pity those who are. People who read the celebrity tabloids, watch reality TV shows that feature washed out celebrities, and spend even a minute worrying about the relationships between actors and actresses are devoid of the intelligence to know what is really important in life. Furthermore, I see that the people who get the most upset about Hollywood politics are the right wing talk show hosts that blast them for having the opinion in the first place. Just by getting upset about it gives it credibility to those who don't agree. Who cares what Danny Glover thinks. Do you think anybody is really swayed by what he thinks. Do you think his partner Mel Gibson has recruited any anti-Semites by having his opinion.

God does sometimes destroy nations for their wickedness. But if that's what happened to Haiti, then we are no less deserving of the same fate.
<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com<img src=" /><o:p></o:p>
I will defend Pat Robertson's comments only as far is that he was right that the slave revolt that overthrew the French began with a large voodoo ritual that involved drinking pigs' blood and cursing the God of the whites.

<o:p></o:p>
But there are also lots of born again Christians in Haiti. It seems to be common in the third world to find strong Christian movements happening in the shadow of widespread paganism and occult practices. Remember that God was willing to spare Sodom and Gomorrah if only 5 righteous people could be found there. Surely there were more than 5 righteous people in Haiti. <o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
When things like this happen, a nation and individuals should always self-reflect to see where they stand with God. It might be an act of God designed as a warning or a punishment. But it could also be a natural occurrence God allowed to happen for some other reason. The laws of nature we live with were God's idea. He is the inventor of the earth's crust and designed it so that pressure in the earth can be released through earthquakes. <o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
I'm not sinless, so I'm not going to cast any stones at the Haitian people. Even if Pat Robertson was right about Haiti being founded with a pact with the Devil, now wasn't the time to talk about it. <o:p></o:p>

Uh yeah, I'm thinking this was just an earthquake and Haiti happened to be the unlucky recipient. Danny Glover is a moron if he thinks Global Warming causes earthquakes, and I doubt God punishes city's or countries with earthquakes. Oh wait, come to think of it hasn't San Francisco been hit with a couple of doozies?

Here is a question worth asking...How much has the climate changed....UNDER THE EARTH'S CRUST???? Is there even such thing as a climate underground? Sorry to be rude, but Hollywood's douchebaggery has no limitations.

Travis, good to see you again. I'm still hoping to see you in the House of Representatives soon. If you run, I will move to Fl just to vote for you mi amigo. And I agree with you 100%. No matter what side of the aisle you sit upon when it comes to biblical interperatation, he picked a horrible time to bring it up. No body likes the "I told you so" guy, when blood is still running in the streets.
