Just talked with my insurance carrier (Farmers) and they only cover up to $1,000 for firearms. I had to pay an additional $200 a year on my home owners to cover my collection. Just though I would pass the info on and encourage everyone to contact their insurance company to find out their coverage. I take extreme precautions to keep my guns safe... however, at least I am covered if something happens!!

I started adding it years ago. You can't buy many guns for 1000.

Howdy All,
Can you get insurance through orgs. like Sportsmans Alliance or the NRA?

NRA membership includes $2,500 of firearms coverage. Assuming you activate it. You can also upgrade that for more coverage and I think its a pretty reasonable cost for more coverage.

Edit: I just looked, through their program if you want to add more to your standard $2500 coverage its $60 in fees plus the coverage cost which it looks like hovers around 1% of your stated value, yearly. You can get up to $1,000,000 in firearms insurance :smiley_green_with_e
