Anyone ever take apart the mech-box (trigger box) on an electric airsoft gun?
My sons' older DPMS AR-15 seems to have lost the bevel gear (first one off the motor pinion).
Finding parts seems to be a challenge. Hate to trash it.
Any kind advice?

Your best bet is to call or email the maker, which I belive is cybergun. Cybergun
Or go to a Paintball/airsoft store, they allways have parts.

Spoke with the manufacturers' tech rep today. He said it was too old to find replacement parts. The whole body and trigger box have been redesigned. This older model was not designed to be upgradeable.

That stinks. You could try making one, it would take for ever though.

Yeah, I know. My neighbor across the street has a mini-lathe that he has used to cut gears. I try not to talk to him since his "devil daughters" have a propensity to wreak havoc on my children and property. Maybe I'll start scrounging down at the hobby stores.
