Kinda goofy looking but I guess they need them that big to walk on the deep snow, like snowshoes.
I saw a lynx in NW Colorado while elk hunting, we watched eachother for about 10 minutes and then I went back to tracking some fresh elk sign in the new snow. When I told some locals about it they all looked at me like I was stupid and said that I must have seen a bobcat. Bobcats aren't that big and don't have long, lanky legs and oversized paws. Also there was an advisory in the regs to trappers to report any lynx or wolverine. Apparently they introduced some there.
