No problems with the copper. 5 pigs down in 2 hours. First shot was over 200 yards, blew out the back shoulder. Pig went all of 10 feet. 4 more pigs crunched with copper.

It's not the same as lead, but it will do the deed if you put it in the right spot. I shot the Federal Premiums, Barnes I think. 165 Grains.

I can't seem to post a pic, but I have some solid pics if someone can help me out.

nice collection you got there, manfreddy. The red one on the far right looks like you hit it with a cannon! Where did you guys hunt (in generalities, if you like)?

It's a guided operation, but I won't pimp them (don't won't to break the JHO rules unless it's OK to mention the guide's name). Very good guys, lots of hogs in San Benito County. We saw over 50 hogs, probably more. Almost all in range and we were done by 10am.

I 'forget' to mention I missed a hog at 10 feet (running full speed downhill right in front of me). Shot about 1 foot in front and didn't compensate for the downhill angle. That one is still in my nightmares.

I'd like to hear the guides operation also. I believe it's A ok to use the guides name.

Manfreddy... definitely OK for a client to mention the guide's name. That's part of what this site is about.

That's what I'm talking about! Go lighter is the rule for copper. I shoot 130grns TTSX in 300WM and aint not deer or hogs will take a single step out to 200yds! I have no clue why people want to use heavier copper bullets. It's pointless really.

btw, the 130grns still goes faster than 2900fps at 200yds! That is like shooting a hog at point blank range out to 200yds! Nothing will survive.
