I seem to have mastered getting pictures of deer with heads behind the tree, out of the pic, etc.

Look at the body size on the deer on the left of the pic. I would really have liked to see him because there are some massive rubs in this area. It's hard to see from this version of the pic, but he has the sagging belly and everything.

Did ya have a timer???

Thats why I like straight setups. may have 6 doe pics but just may have 15 of the most awesome deer in the woods!!

Cameras are used to see what is there, i dont want to waste a chance of a lifetime buck pic!

Get rid of the timers unless its a feeder.

NOW THE MYSTERY WILL KILL YA!

BOHUNTER,
You're right, a timer was involved. The spots I put my cams in are hours away from where I live, and each other, so I can't afford not to use them. I need to let my cams go for three weeks at a time, so I really benefit from the timers too. I have already taken a few pics of nice bucks that I would never have gotten without the timer keeping the cams active for longer periods of time.

Like anything else, I guess we have to weigh pros and cons and take whatever we get. I'll just have to find a way to get a look at him some other way. At least I know he's around.

Thanks for the input, it gives me something else to consider in the future.
