Haven't heard that there are any feral hogs in SD County (Peeples Republik) - are there? And if not, why not??

Thanx,

There are plenty of Hogs in San Diego... just drop by any West Field shopping center or HomeTown Buffet and look for tight jeans and heavy makeup... eeewwww.

Sorry, but we have to drive up north to score a wild boar. That's what Tejon Ranch and the Ham Slam is for!

Wild hogs seem to be located from Tejon, on up north. I've heard rumors of a sounder of them in the Santa Ana river bed, but not sure exactly what city. And the powers that be don't allow for hunting them. Although there have also been rumors of a succesful archery hunter or two on the sly. But then, that's not even in San Diego county.

I've never heard of wild pigs in San Diego county. My guess would be that we're just too dry here, and pigs need abundant water, so I hear.

BTW, I don't beleive that them hogs at Hometown Buffet are wild. They just seem to have that "domesticated" look...

I've heard, though, that the best bait station is right by the soft-serve ice cream machine...

I've never heard about wild pigs down in the San Diego area, but I seem to recall reading somewhere that they are working their way south.
