Yupp, can't stand when what I gotta do gets in the way of what I wanna do. You'd think I'd have grown out of that by now, but there ya go.
Anyway, I'm definitely out the door next weekend. If I was a really lucky guy, the central coast would see a good rain on Thursday and Friday. But I'll take what I can get.
Tell that little sow she's lucky. My freezer is nearly empty, and I'm not real picky right about now.
I spent the weekend in sunny Santa Monica -- inside a climate controlled office. At least I had a window. It's now been three weeks since I got my new .270 and haven't yet had the time to shoot it.
Here in Central Tx at 8:09am it is 25 degrees with wind gusts to 30. Only went to the hardware store yesterday and made a shelf for the wife and cleaned up part of the barn. The barn is 20x30 and insulated, I have a 4 ton AC out there to get hooked up before summer. It is more of a workshop/homebrew center/storage/doghouse than a barn but that is what we call it. Supposed to go javelina hunting next weekend so I hope this 'wonderful' weather gets over with by then, I am not sure I could effectively draw and aim out there right now. Bbbrrrrr!

Just got back from Clear Creek. The roads are in great shape but it was REALLY cold at night.First time calling coyote, nothing, but I sure heard them laughing at me thru the night. Found a spot on the creek where lots of pigs were crossing.

Cool deal, Boarrunner! So, where's this secret spot? Just kidding.
Thanks for the info, Rocketman. Pending the weather, I'll probably be close to Clear Creek this weekend, but not completely decided where yet. I'm hoping to head outta here on Friday night, and spend the weekend in the woods. The weather report looks good for this coming weekend, but I don't trust it.
