I have been keeping my eye on the Owen's lake for ever and want to start stopping there to see if it holds any ducks. Any one with any first hand knowledge?

I have heard that there are a ton of people that hunt out there. I heard a story of guys shooting everything that moved from their truck before shoot time

it's a type C area so there are bound to be some yahoo's. I have heard the biggest problem is cover but I have some military netting that works great for that. If it's not so good I'll let you all know if it's really good you will probably never hear any more about it Haha!!!

ive hunted it in the past. cover is the biggest issue. there are a few spots that people have set up blinds, but you'll have to do some driving around to try to find them. I wouldnt exactly call it a primo spot, and has been pretty depressing the last couple seasons because of how dry everything is up there, but i have shot ducks (including with a guy one day who shot a band), but alot of jump shooting. but its always worth getting out and exploring something new and trying to find a new public spot. good luck.

I've been considering that area and further north in the Owens Valley. Please report your findings.

If you're up for an exploratory trip later in the season, PM me.

PRR, what does tag mean?

Used to mark a place on a forum either to update later or to make it so you get notifications when someone else posts. Kind of like how people use "bump" to move their thread to the top of the que.

Any recent activity in this area? Popped up on my radar and was wondering if its worth a day trip.
