Still working on my first AR15. Looking for a complete upper. 16" barrel

Idk what brand barrel it has. Thats the most important thing. I have a cheap bcg, a decent bcg and a nickel boron bcg and they all fire the same. Of course the plated bcg works a little better because it needs less maintenance. Truthfully its up to you what you want to buy. I bought a no named upper at a gunshow as my first upper. The only good thing i still use of that upper is the stripped upper receiver. I put an 18" competition 223 wylde ss with twist flute, the nick plated bcg and a longer free float tube. You need to be careful on the barrel feed ramps fitting the uppers feed ramps. Ive seen them not line up before or even have a bump where they meet and causing feed issues. I dont order complete uppers online for that reason; especially from a manufacturer I've never heard of.

STAG arms or Bushmaster can't go wrong with either!!! I know people that have both, I've fired both. I have the Stag Arms 3G upper 18inch
