I will be going on my first Archery Elk Hunt in New Mexico in September.

This is my setup:

Bow: Hoyt Cybertech
Arrow: Goldtip Pro Hunter 5575
Broadhead: Magnus Stinger 100 gr
Sight: Spot Hog (Hog-it-Hunter)

Congrats on your first archery hunt... Good luck.

I too will be on my first Elk hunt in Idaho in Sept. I will be using a custom made all wood laminate reflex/deflex longbow. 64"ntn, 58lbs@28". Bamboo back, bulletwood/boo core, bulletwood belly. I'll be using approx 600grain birch tapered shafts tipped with either Magnus or Ace broadeads. No sights.

Eight weeks to go and getting nearer for me~! I'll be using the following setup:

Calls: Primos sound plate calls, a hoochie mama, Abe & Son's (now lohman) bugle and assorted calls, montana elk decoy
Bow: PSE Quantum @ 70 lbs
Arrows: GoldTip 7595 XTs
Broadheads: Probably the 100 gr. Magnus Buzzcuts but haven't shot them yet to make sure they fly in my setup. Got innerlocs as a fallback in case the Buzz's don't fly in my setup.
