Arizona's Spring Hunt Application Deadline Tonight
Tuesday, October 11, 2011
PHOENIX - Hunters are reminded that the application deadline for spring 2012 hunts for turkey, javelina, buffalo and bear is Tuesday, Oct. 11, 2011 by 7 p.m. (MST).
Hunters can either apply online by visiting www.azgfd.gov/draw and clicking on the link to the online application service, or they can hand deliver their paper applications on deadline day (Tuesday, Oct. 11) to any of the seven Arizona Game and Fish Department offices located in Pinetop, Flagstaff, Kingman, Yuma, Tucson, Mesa and Phoenix. A list of office addresses is at www.azgfd.gov/offices.
Game and Fish advises those who were considering mailing their paper application but haven't yet done so to either apply online or hand deliver it to ensure the department receives it by the deadline. Postmarks don't count.
Keep in mind that department offices are closed weekends and will also be closed on Monday, Oct. 10, in observance of the Columbus Day holiday. Department office front counters will be open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 11, and the office locations will accept hand-delivered applications until 7 p.m. on that day.
Hunters applying online are advised not to wait until the last minute in case there are technical issues with the online system on deadline day.
For more information, visit www.azgfd.gov/draw.
