Here are a couple of pics of elk that I took last fall in North Arkansas. The Ark Game and Fish Commission released elk here years ago, and they have finally built up to a huntable population. This was the third year, I think, for an elk season. They issue 20 permits per year.
The bull in the first picture was an 11x8. He had ~32 cows with him, and was going wild chasing them around. He was also bugling his head off.
The second pic is a group of 5 small bulls that were a little farther down the road from the big boy. They knew that they needed to stay away from the big boy's ladies.
