Army issues instructions for painting M16s, M4s

I'm really surprised they did not come out with something like this years ago.

We used an Army tech manual or whatever the army called it to paint our desert commo jeeps. They had several camo versions. US Woodland, European Woodland, Desert 3 color, desert chocolate chip (5 color) if I remember right. We went with desert 3 color. I wonder why they never offered it for rifles or other gear too. We just used the same paint scheme on our connexes and gear boxes.
