I'm looking for a new fletching tool, my old plastic one is spent. Has any had any experience with a Bitzenberger Dial-o-Fletch? I prefer the one vane at a time fletchers because I feel I get a better glue joint. Any suggestions?

Hi ya neighbor! Your right over ther river from me.

I use an Arizona easy fletch. Not the best for perfection but for my needs it works great. IWish I could help you more but I haven't used the single fletching gigs before.

Howdy Fletch,

the Bitzenberger jig you mentioned is one of the best for one at a time consistent fletchings with vanes or feathers as i have used one for many years without a hitch

once you set it up to your likeness it will be the same for as long as you want to use that particular setup
and also with the metal base and clamps it seems just to work better than the plastic model jigs

you can get the quality from your fletchings that your looking for with ease using the Bitzenberger

Hi Fletch,

I use the Blitzenburger and have for many years.  I think you would be pleased with the quality.  It's great if you are content to fletch one at a time.  I haven't had any experience with the others.

Howdy Fletch.  I used to use the Arizona E-Z Fletch for aluminums, but when I switched to carbons my buddy turned me onto the Grayling jig.  It's a single clamp similar the the Bitzenburger and can do 3 or 4 vanes/feathers; straight, right or left helix.  I've fletched a lot with it and it's worked great for less the $$$.  Don't let the plastic discourage you.  It doesn't work like the Arizona so I can't see it wearing out.

I use a Jo-Jan Multi Fletch (six arrows) and like it. I do have to redo fletching on occassion though.

Jo-Jan single fletch. I love it. It does a great job. Buy the extra arms and you can fletch them all left right and streight

If your only doing arrows for yourself then go with the Bitzenburger, but if you are doing a bunch for friends or a cllub then I would go with a Jo-Jan.
I do all my own on the bitz, but have 18 JO-Jans mounted to a round table on a lazy susan when I am doing bulk for a shop or the club.

I'm new to fletching and can say the bitzenburger's easy to use.  The guy at the shop set up the jig the same way as my arrows, gave me a quick demo, and then I was good to go.  With the fast setting glue, it's very quick and easy.  I don't plan on switch arrow configurations for a long time and at some point may play around with different offset settings but for now, my arrows are flying good enough for me.  Plus, I'm saving $ and learning a thing or two during the process.
