Got a lucky draw again for AZ this year was a tough hunt there was thunder storms every day the forest roads there a mess and the Elk where scattered all over the place we hunted for 4 days and we where in the Elk every day mostly in the heavy oak brush with no good shots we needed a 30-30 with open sights. finally the last day the last afternoon we made it up a road that iv been wanting to go up but the mud was crap hiked in about a mile a found some good fresh tracks so we sat under brush waited it out two hours later we here a big bugle we just stayed put about twenty minutes later my son smacks me on the shoulder theres a cow walking i and then behind some brush with the wind blowing right there way i thought for sure we where going to bust the heard then this little guy steps out and dropped it. My son and i call this size elk snack packs overall it was a fun four days hunting and vary happy we got it done and it felt good to pack out some prime Elk meat
