All this terrible weather we are having in the Bay Area is even making it sweeter to be getting on a Plane in a few hrs heading for AZ. General season opens up tomorrow. Hopefully I can fill my tag. Ill be hunting with my Dad and Brother for the first time EVER!!!! So I know it will be a BLAST even if we dont fill our tags. But Ive got 3 days of hard hunting ahead of me. The rain is actually following me to AZ and it is supposed to rain on Sat. Hopefully it all works out, it will be my first time out of state hunting. And hopefully the first of many.

Ill report on Mon when I get back.

Love to hear how you did and if you have any pointers. I bought a AZ hunting lic for the draws this year and figure it might we worth a plane ride to use it for something (assuming I don't have a chance in hell of actually drawing a tag). Javelina with the bow seem like something fun to go after. Good luck!

Glass every hillside that holds shindigger patch. Glass slowly and watch for rooting javelina.

Good luck....And bring a shooting stick and duct tape.....

FULL MOON every night pretty much

Day 1: Good fresh sign. Bad wind. Saw some go over a hill. End of the day my Dad twisted his knee BAD coming down the last hill to the truck.

Day 2: Dad could barley walk. Was a trooper and drove me out to the hunting grounds and just sat in a lawn chair with his rifle by the truck when is wasnt raining. Winds were in the 20-30mph and raining hard. Didnt see anything.

Day 3: Bad winds again. We came in early and caught the ending of the Daytona 500 to see a 20yr old rookie win.

All in all it was a blast to be out there with my Dad and brother. Cant wait to go back and hunt with them. We are crossing our fingers to see if we get drawn for our Elk or Pronghorn hunts that were just due. The country we were hunting it seemed everything wanted to either Stab, Poke, or Grab you. Next year we will be in the draw and hopefully get to hunt in a little better Unit.
