So NR's get tags that shouldn;t have even been issued, for some of the best Elk hunts in world, I can't even draw a cow tag with 3 bonus points.

I did have 10 points, with the education point. Yes, I did take the time to go over and get that. If someone tried to take it away now, they would have to pry it from my cold dead fingers. Yes, I am lucky, but am just stoked about it.

By the way, what B.S. excuse the department had about not complying with the judges order. "Hardship". B.S. They knew exactly who was in/out and it only took a few hours to post. I know they had other reasons, but the excuse to the Honorable Mr. Broomfield was absolute B.S..

No draw for me. will have 8 bonus points next year with the hunter safety point. Grew up in AZ and put in back when I was in college. Never drew a tag. Now put in with my brother every other year and still nothing. We even go archery. so far know of one friend in AZ that get drawn. Some year I will go elk hunting. I guess the only way these days is to spend thousands and go on a guided hunt. Or hope that in 10-20 years, you get drawn at least once. Just too many darn people making more people.

Heard AZ might change some tax funding laws in for game and fish so they can go back to the NR 10% cap. Some wording in the decision that the state can't have preferencial treatment since the AZ G&F gets no tax dollars. But of the citizens in AZ pay for it, they might be able to. Sad part is that now I am out of state I am kind of torn. with out the cap I have a better chance, but it is tough to live in AZ and not get drawn. The place gets hunted hard from out of state hunters. Every time I went deer and even javelina hunting I would meet people from CA. Even people from MN, WI, CO and just about every where else.

I went 0-4 in Arizona this year. Good luck to all that drew. Those extra tags in the deer 12's didn't do me any good. I've been applying for 8 years now for the late unit 12 aw deer tag. Maybe one of these days.

Congrats to all who drew a tag!

I missed out this year, oh well.

WW,
I got a 352" bull out of unit 6a last year during the muzzleloader hunt, so you know that they are in there! Good luck!

Bummer - no luck for me in CA, NM or AZ! I guess that means wild pig here and javelina in AZ, and I 'll get to just tag along with my buddy on his NM antelope hunt.

MEF,

Were you hunting 6A North, South or West? I normally hunt 6A Archery Elk but we were drawn on a second choice due to me putting in with my Non-Resident brother. Gonna treat the boy to a BIG STEAK dinner
<
Hell we had both talked about the fact that we had not drawn in so long we put in Archery, Muzzleloader and Rifle last choice.

We normally hunt around Buck Mtn and the Butte but we have spent many hours chasing the Big Guys through the Junipers.

Jesse,

Hey man if you want to come up and hang out your more than welcome. We could always use another gut and drag guy
<
Give me a call at the house and we will set things up.

Jeff
