I'm leaving for N.AZ next week to do a little muley shed hunting. On the way back I would like to take 40 back and maybe do a little hunting for elk sheds.
I have never looked for elk sheds, and I would apprectiate any info you guys could send my way.I'm not asking for your honey holes,I'm just looking for a step in the right direction.

I was thinking about looking in the Flagstaff/Williams area or anywhere else along Hwy 40 anyone might suggest.

If you want you could e-mail me at jasonpudge@netptc.net

Thanks

Bucksnort, I think you got the wrong bunch of guys---we seem to be mostly easterners and some midwest area types here or so it seems. I stayed in Williams for a few days back in the early-mid 90s. There's a road that heads south out of the southside of Williams (Perkinsville Rd maybe). I drove it some and did see elk, including bulls, in a few places to the west (right hand side of that road as you're driving south out of town) of that road, maybe 5 or 6 miles out of town. Williams is not very big. Wish I knew more.

Shag.

I think your right, there don't seem to be many western area shed hunters here. Thanks anyway for your help, I figure I'll give it a shot in the Flagstaff/Williams area, maybe I'll get lucky.

As far as the Elk sheds go I know that last year on the kids Youth hunt around the Springerville area there were lots of bulls bulging but don't know where to look for sheds. Here in the southern part of AZ the whitetails still have their horns on them they haven't dropped yet. Guess I will have to wait another couple of weeks before looking again.
