Back early from my hunt...

I had to cut my hunt short due to my son having Croup and the wife having so little vacation time free. Oh, well there is alway next year.

I was hunting a Unit 9 Cow tag here in Arizona and all I saw were bulls. A 2x2, 3x4 and the other was huge but it was at last light and could not get a count however it's length was greater then my arms could stretch. I did not see a single cow over the 5 days. Now if I would have had a bull tag it would have been the opposite. Had a great time for my first elk hunt even though I came home with nothing.

Is the cow tag a draw or over the counter? Sorry to hear you didn't get one but heck, we always have the javies in Jan.

Mike, the tag is a draw tag, however put in for it my first year and got it thats to recomendations of Desert Bull. I also used his map and information and he is right on. Can not wait for the Javies in January.

Boy seems to be doing ok, just a bad cough. It is hard to get a 3 year old to understand he needs to relax and the cough would be better. I do not know where he gets his stubbornness. Must be from the wifes side of the family.
