Just returned from Nevada Helping my buddy on his rifle bull hunt. This summer, he told me he had drawn a coveted tag in one of the best areas in the state and I promptly offered my help scountin and tagging along to watch him hunt these beasts. He drew his tag after 15 years applying as a Nevada resident!

In Nevada, if you are sucessful, you must wait ten years before re-appliying. Thus, This is a hunt of a life-time for most. And yes, it was a hunt of a life-time...and a hunt that I will never forget! This area holds 400 BC bulls!

More to follow!

I'll check back on Friday.....

The next time I shoot a jack-rabbit, I'm going to drag it out for two weeks before showing the money-shot. Good grief!

Sorry guys, I have been busy at work I will post-up a long story about the hunt today. In the meantime, here are a few more pictures. On this hunt, my point-and shoot camera was in my pocket the whole time. I took quite a few pictures!

Here are a few more...

A non-shooter at 100 yards...[/b]

I don't know anything about record book elk, but my hunt would have been over when I saw this one.

Dang! I just spent 8 days in Idaho and didn't see that much horn in all the camps on the mountain put together! I was hoping to at least see a spike!

This is a video clip I shot with my point and shoot camera. The bull sounded off to a cow call in the junipers, about 900 yards away, at around 0930 hrs! I continued to cow call to him and to my disbelief, he left the junipers and came into the burn. The 6x6 came into 191 yards and hung-up. I don't think you can see him in the video clip, but I thought the sound came out pretty good. Remember, this is early November, and the "rut" is over!

Several hours later, I called in a nice 5x5 to fifty yards.
