Circle F Ranch

I just wanted to share my recent experience with a boar-hunting outfit in northern California. It is usually not my stile to complain about people or outfits. However, I feel compelled to express a few thoughts on the “Circle F Ranch” outfit in Yorkville California. Let me say first though that a friend and I each got a pig and the quality of the pigs on the ranch was very good. However, the guide service was not.
Good: Pigs
Bad: Guiding, he let us hunt alone for hours at a time wile he was checking on a few turkey hunters he also had on the ranch.
Meat care, we skinned our second pig ourselves because he had lousy equipment (to many issues to list) and did a poor job on the first pig. As we did so, he complained about the fact that the water we used to clean the meet created a small puddle in a meadow near his house so he turned the water off. I suppose he would have rather seen us pack our hogs up dirty in game bags and leave with spoiled meet. All in all I can think of better ways to spent $500.00.

Tracker.

Boartracker,
Thanks for the report. I want to know the good and the bad guides. Could save some of us from making the same mistake too. though, there are 2 sides to every story.
Good Hunting,
Mark

Sounds like a guide service I went through. Not it though. Sorry to hear about your bad experience. I know how that feels. Yes there are two sides to every story, but in my case, "He seemed like he wasn't having fun" wasn't a good excuse at all!!!
