Overheard at a Senate hearing yesterday:

"Could you say 'senator' instead of 'ma'am?' It's just a thing. I worked so hard to get that title. I'd appreciate it."

--Sen. Barbara Boxer (D-CA) to Brigadier General Michael Walsh during Senate hearing Tuesday, when he the general repeatedly said, "Yes, ma'am," and "No, ma'am," when answering Boxer's questions at hearing she chaired on New Orleans' levee system

Excuse me madame, but the only title you have is "public servant".
You don't deserve anything!!!

Why dont you guys in Calif. get rid of the Senator from "NEW YORK" representing California.

Too bad our founding fathers didnt add that you can only represent the State you were born in. Lets see Boxer is from New York, Pelosi is from Maryland, etc, etc.....

The whole West would be Red State's if that were the case :patiotic-wavin-flag

Do you actually think that WE vote for her? It's too bad that half of ca's population is in LA and SF.

See those green stripes on the General's shoulder epaulets? He is a Commanding General who actually lead men from the field. He's not a desk jockey general. I'm quite sure he has earned the distinction of be addressed as "Brigadier General Walsh".

She's right. She doesn't deserve to be called ma'am.

What does it take for this state to get rid of the un-holy three? My gawd, I don't know of anyone that will admit to voting for Boxer, Feinstein or Pelosi.

It would take a disaster of biblical proportions to beset LA and SF. Like closing all the public aid offices.

Money. That's what got them in and that's what it will take to get the POS out.

Article 1 Section 8

"No title of nobility shall be granted by the United States:"

Isn't that what she thinks she has? A senator is not a title it is an elected position...

These people run around like they are nobility they are a ruling class. I watched CSPAN yesterday and watched both Ds and Rs bsing and wasting time talking about the congressional softball game for 15 minutes. Laughing and just carrying on like school girls. It makes me sick.

He should have started each sentence, "My civil servant employee,".

I was in Laughlin, NV this morning and on then local TV station they were interviewing the Nevada Governor, Jim Gibbons (R), and the interviewer called him "Governor" and he says, "Please call me Jim, I've spent all my life earning that title". LMAO!! He then went on to express how arrogant he though Boxer was and how the people who voted for her gave her that title, she didn't "earn" it.

Too right

Our politicians are getting their roles twisted too. We have a State Bill before the house now that will allow hunting in our State National Parks, and the member for a huge rural area South of home has said he will not support the bill even though it has very strong support in his electorate. When these people put their own agenda in front of the wishes of the people they are elected to represent they deserve to be voted out of a job next election.:mad-fumin-red:
