I know that the powersonic style 12 volts are somewhat big, but they work really well and you can still fit everything in a small enclosure.

I am using a powersonic 12 volt 1.2 ah in this cam.

They really last a long time and hold up great in cold weather.

Radio Shack sells a 12vlt lantern battery.  I use them for my ms20's.  The seem to last 6+ months.

Price is about $12 if I remember correctly.

I saw some 12V rechargeable batteries at Academy sporting goods store(a chain).  They were used for Moultry automated feeders.  They were 7AH, and may be too big for a 7.62mm ammo can.  I think the cost was about $15.00  You would also need a battery charger.

I been messing around with some 9 v batteries
by hooking them in a series
from batt A + to batt B -
and batt A - and batt B + to the ms20
I have been measuring around 15 to 16 volts this way WILL IT WORK or NOT?
it to much voltage ?

If you mean Transistor Radio 9v batt's, they won't last very long using an MS20, maybe a couple weeks but 8 "C" cells in series (= 12v) would last 4 months or so, according to my calcs
