Bayonet Lug Question

I have a bayonet lug on my DPMS Panther LR. .308 that superficially likes like a partial picatinny rail. I'm thinking that I could mount a bipod on it with a picatinny adapter. Does anyone know whether I'm correct in that assumption?

I just looked at one and it says its not very stable for shooting

Yeah I have my concerns too. I think its all I'm going to be able to have though until handguards with rails come back in stock.

If you have some shooting sticks or bipod already just use that and dont waste your money until you get the quad rail free float tube. Oh you can also find them at gun shows
