Best Binoculars for $500-800?

Looking to spend in this range, but I would like to find a great set that will work for me for a long time. Would spend less but not more than that amount. What are some good ones that you would recommend?

A few years back I bought a pair of 8x30 binoculars at the Texas Trophy Hunters show in Houston. They are made by a company called Optovision USA. I was told by the man who sold them to me that Zeiss makes the lenses they use. I was a little sceptical at first but I figured for $180.00 I could'nt go wrong. I used them for the first time hunting in New Mexico 3 years ago and every year since. My hunting buddy brought his $1100.00 Swarovski's with him. To a man, the rancher, the guide, and my friend, no one could not tell a difference. In fact mine even drew in more light in the early morning and late evening. Also mine were clearer and easier to focus than the Swarovski's, and are smaller and lighter. I have never been happier with a hunting purchase than I am with these glasses. Zeiss Classics. Can't go wrong. $699 or $799, I forget. Check Cabelas.

Definitely Zeiss Classics. The Leupold Gold Rings can be found almost in that range and are very good as well. Pentax are darn good for the money too.

Check out Minox. They are made by Leica and are supposed to be amazing.

Burris Signature Series are fine as well. For open country, they
make one of the best 12X50 binos for around $600 you'll find.

You won't hear to much about these, but look thru a pair of Weaver Grand Slam 8x42's along side all of those mentioned above. Extremely clear and easy on the eyes. I have a pair of Leapold Gold rings and I use these more. I don't know why they aren't advertised more, they should be.....hronk
