I'd have to say in Arizona or Utah. Something about them beautiful canyons and all the red rock and blue sky with the golden hour touch of light. I'd say the evening was the best for me there.
One of the best times was late one evening on the north rim of the Grand Canyon at Parissawampitts Point. It was cloudy and about to rain and the sun popped out and it was surreal. I grabbed all the gear and started to set up my cameras. Bang when the lightning real close and I'm standing there with a tripod in my hand trying to decide what to do. One more strike and I gave up and just hunkered down under a Juniper to watch the show. It was awesome.
Where would you say you've seen and photographed the best golden hours? Morning or sunset?
